No energy tonight for mushiness over beautiful things! For me, climbing into bed tonight before 9 PM is a beautiful thing! It's been a tough week and I am exhausted! Good night!

Day 29: a number

1 day shy of 13.
That's how many years I've been able to avoid presenting one of these! Thursday will mark my 13th anniversary of employment and tomorrow (Wednesday) I'll present the first part of my game plan. Everyone dreads doing these, and usually you only have to if you're new or on the promotion path. Once in awhile, upper management gets the brilliant idea to make everyone do one, but then it gets thrown to the wayside for other "priorities". But not this year. They stuck to their guns this year, and tomorrow is the day for me. Wish me luck!

Paige absolutely LOVES babies.  When we were visiting Baby Kenzie today, she insisted on holding her and refused to give her up!  She looks so sad bc we told her it was time to go!

Day 24: something new

It's my new haircut!
I walked into my appointment today all set to chop off my hair for the summer. But my new hairstylist convinced me otherwise. I know it's hard to tell the difference in this picture bc he cut off very little lengthwise, but he cut a whole lot of texture and shape into the rest of my hair and there was a ton of hair on the floor!

Day 23: technology

this is what working from home typically looks like for me.  from left to right: ipad, wifi hotspot, laptop.  my phone is usually within arm's reach also but I'm using it to take the picture.  also, what you can't see is the tv to my left.  yep, I'm all about technology!

Day 22: pink

When I think of pink, I inevitably think of my girly girl,maddy! 
Her recital costume came in 2 weeks later than everyone else's so she was so excited to finally get to try it on!

Day 21: where I stand

On the question of whether or not Thach and I are going to have more kids is "we are 2 and through... At least we're pretty sure we are."
I used to say maybe, when the girls are older, more independent and less dramatic, but then I think, "at that point do I really want to start all over?"
But it does make me a little sad to see just how independent Paige wants to be. This is the look I got when I had the audacity to suggest I feed her the bowl of brown rice she was snacking on!

Day 19: a favorite place

My favorite place I was at TODAY was Truong's wedding!! The Spazmatics put on a great show and we had an awesome time!! I just noticed the first picture cut me out! But if you click on the picture to open in a new window you can see the whole thing!

Day 18: something I made

Like I said in March, I'm not very crafty so there aren't a whole lot of things I make. But I'm pretty sure I made Maddy's day when I asked Linh Ly (Kim's niece, the prima ballerina!) if Maddy could see her pointe shoes. She was so excited to touch them, hold them and even try them on! She has been obsessed with ballet pointe shoes lately. She sits at home pointing her toes bc she thinks if she practices enough she can get into them faster. It's very cute!

I actually just finished it, but when I got this book off amazon, I thought it was going to actually be a story. But it's not. It's basically a book of rules for a virgin courtesan as told by an experienced courtesan.

Day 7: someone that inspires me

Thach... He's not perfect by any means, but he is my other half. We're opposites in many ways, but he's got strength in areas where I'm weak and vice versa.
He inspires me to live life, and not take things so seriously. While I can't be carefree to the extent that he is (one of us has to be the more boring, responsible one, right?!) I try to let go more often than I would otherwise.
