Day 30: nature

This is the closest I got to nature today.  There are some trees there in the bottom left, see?!

Day 29: in my fridge

I thought it would be funny to take a picture of my fridge at my house.  Because other than a half pack of capri sun and one chick-fil-a sauce, it's empty.  But then I forgot while I was there.
So here's my mom's (primary) fridge.  Pretty basic... Some leftovers from yesterday,  yogurt, three kinds of milk, eggs, etc....

Day 28: light

It's been a rough week and I am one tired mama! 
Between my mom being in Vietnam and Thach's opening getting closer, it's been a one woman show around here most days.
So for light, here is a sneak peek of what's been keeping my other half so busy.

Day 27: lunch

$3 lunch at 2:45 PM scarfed down in 5 minutes as I picked up the girls and raced home for a conference call at 3:30 PM.

Day 26: color

Spot the Dot is one of Maddy's favorite apps on the iPad. I like playing it with her but sometimes it can be a bit psychedelic!

Day 25: something I made

I'm not crafty, so had nothing of that sort to showcase... But I have these two cuties to show for.
This is a pic of the last step in our nightly routine before the girls each get into their own beds.  And it's my favorite part... Hugs and kisses between the sisters!

Day 24: guilty pleasure

I am a candy junkie, and this is the current stockpile in my car....

Day 23: something old

Had I read ahead I would have saved my house picture for today's topic!

But as I looked around the room, which doesn't have much of my "old" stuff since we are nomads right now, I thought to photograph my watch. Which up until a couple of months ago when I had to get it repaired, I had worn almost every day for the last 12-ish years.

This watch was the first big gift Thach ever got me. And if we could get it repaired correctly, I'd still be wearing it daily! But I won't argue if he wants to get me an upgrade!

Day 20: someone I love

My mommy. 

Despite how strict she was growing up and how difficult she can be even now that I'm an adult, I know that everything she does is out of love for her family.  I don't think anyone should have to carry all the burdens and worries that she often does, but if anyone is strong enough to handle it, I know it is her.

Day 19: sweet

I have been craving sweets all weekend. So much so that at midnight last night I asked Thach to get me a Snickers from the kitchen. Good thing he refused. Or was it?
Since the craving had not been satisfied, I ordered one of these at our breakfast meeting. (Don't worry, I also had a power sandwich!) My intentions were to share it with my team. Next thing I know, there was none left. It was delicious, thank you for asking!

Day 18: something I bought

This something I bought was bought 7 years ago, and now it's time for something new.  So someone please buy our house so we can get settled!

Day 17: water

I need a vacation! And this has always been one of my dream destinations... An overwater bungalow in the Seychelles Islands!

Day 16: morning

Started my morning with a run at Memorial Park today.  Running in the morning is sooooo much more bearable than in the evenings!

Day 15: happiness

Is my silly babies who think the littlest things are HIL.AR.I.OUS.
I had a long drive for work today (300 miles!) and came home exhausted.  I jumped in the shower and came out to find these "presents" that had been left for me, along with the hands of the little elves who left them.
They were dying of laughter at their little prank, it just made my day.

Day 13: in my bag

Kim likes to tease that I'm a "real" runner so I decided to post the inside of my "running" bag.  That, and bc my laptop bag and purse were pretty boring!

Day 12: close up

I can read the clock!  And I don't have to be this close anymore!

Day 11: where I sleep

This rainy morning's entertainment was provided by you tube and a box, as the girls watch lion dancing while practicing their drum skills.

Day 10: childhood

Every saturday, the grandkids gather at grandma's for lunch and playtime.

The big girls are almost always playing some version of role play, and the little ones are almost always invading their space.

I love to listen in on their conversations and am always so amused by their imagination.

I tried to snap a candid shot of them playing birthday party, with the big girls being moms to the babies, but as soon as they saw the camera, they stopped to stare/pose.  But then I couldn't believe I got this shot, with all four looking in the right direction, on the first try!

Day 9: daily routine

Over the last week this $40 (!) piece of torture has become part of my daily routine.

Day 8: my sky

Like Mica, I also had such good intentions for today's post.  Like Mica, I got busy.  Like Mica, I went outside and it was too dark.  Unlike Mica, I am not creative and witty enough to think of another sky to post, so stay tuned for an update tomorrow.

Day 7: favorite

Day 6: makes me smile

Little, if anything, work related makes me smile.  Especially lately.  So as I was stopped waiting for a train to pass, I noticed my mileage, and the thought of a new vehicle on the horizon brought a little happy to my day.

Day 5: something you wore

Took a quick picture before I fall behind again! 

My mom left these on my bed this afternoon, after a family friend had returned them.

I'm tempted to try them on to see how they fit....

Day 4: letterbox

Busy weekend, so I missed yesterday!
But I stopped by our house today, and had this little pretty package waiting for me.  (photo has been cropped to protect privacy of addresses!)  Can you guess what's inside???
